Faith Finds a Way

Occasionally I look up and see a flock of geese flying overhead in a V formation. They seem to know where they are going, while I sometimes struggle with which direction my life should take.

Life often brings us to unfamiliar places. A door closes, a relationship changes, our health weakens, or a plan we made disappears. We ask, "Where do I go from here?" We want a map in our hands showing every turn, every delay, and the final destination.

Yet the geese cannot see their journey from where they begin. Something within them tells them when to leave, which direction to travel, and when to rest. They move forward one stretch of sky at a time.

God uses this method on us, guiding us one step at a time. Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God may not reveal our entire journey at once, but He promises to remain near, teaching and guiding us as we travel.

Sometimes God places a thought in our heart that will not go away. A conversation may awaken a dream, while a delay may keep us from moving too quickly. Pay attention to what brings peace, how your gifts can be used, and where your help may be needed. Direction often becomes clearer as we move forward.

Remain attentive, for God may guide you through an unexpected opportunity, a closed door, a quiet conviction, or the encouragement of a trusted friend. You do not need to understand the entire journey today. You only need enough faith to take the next step.

The God who guides the geese through changing winds and unfamiliar skies will guide you. When the direction seems unclear, keep looking upward. Your faithful Guide has not lost sight of you.
