Children will participate in various games and activities using music, rhythm, and motion to encourage large motor skill development.

Chapel

Older children will attend Chapel in morning where they will enjoy learning about God's love through creative Bible story presentations, singing and praying together.

Lunch

Children will bring their own nutritious lunch consisting of finger foods and drink. Food will not be refrigerated or heated. We will provide a light snack during the day.

Rest Time

Children will rest every afternoon on mats provided by parents.  They may bring a special stuffed animal, doll, blanket, and/or pillow. Personal items will be sent home each week. Every child is expected to rest quietly during this time.

Health

An immunization record, medical emergency card and allergy card is required on each child.

No child can be left who has had fever, vomiting, diarrhea, questionable rash, or contagious disease within 24 hours of Mom's Day Out; discharge in or around eyes; green or yellow runny nose or excessive coughing. If your child shows signs of illness during day, you will be notified. Medication will not be administered by Mom's Day Out staff.

Safety

Staff will be trained in CPR and a minimum of two staff members will be trained in Red Cross First-Aid.

A sign-in sheet is provided for each classroom. Children must be signed in and out by a parent or responsible adult who will provide a number where they can be reached during the day. If parents wish to designate another person to pick up their child, the name of that individual must be in the child's file or parents must make arrangements with the MDO director when the child is dropped off. Teachers will ask for a photo ID when identity of an individual is in question.

Accidents or injuries and administered treatments will be documented and kept in your child's file. Parents will be notified of any incidents.
